MoHW Celebrates 7th Ministerial Annual Achievements AwardsEmployees of the Ministry of Health and Wellness were recently recognized for their commitment to work. Recognized individuals have performed exceptionally well and showed professionalism in their work despite the challenges they face in the workplace.
The Ministry’s Annual Achievement Awards or AAA as they are commonly known, are held every year to celebrate and award employees. The awards are divided into categories: Long service and good conduct, by employees who have served for not less than 25 years of continuous service with no disciplinary record, while the corporate achievement is awarded to employees who have demonstrated achievements in leadership, high level of competency and have demonstrated professionalism.
To be awarded the performer of the year award, the employee should have demonstrated knowledge of work, job related initiative and ability to go an extra-mile in analyzing the environment for better health outcomes.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, the Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Alfred Madigele cautioned that individual’s desire to achieve must not be at the expense of corporate delivery. He challenged people to work together in order to achieve more.
“I urge the Ministry’s Leadership to consider rewarding teams more than individuals” he said.
He applauded all employees of the Ministry of Health and Wellness for thriving under difficult conditions and for their sacrifices in serving the nation. Read more...
