Botswana, marked the official opening of the World Health Organization’s Regional Training on Rapid Response Teams (RRT). This workshop is graced by participants from four (4) countries in Southern Africa: Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho and Namibia and it will continue until 3rd May, 2019.

The training is hosted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and jointly organized by WHO, Government of Botswana and the US Center for Diseases Control (USCDC/Atlanta).

The hallmark of this training is about putting in place teams that can Rapidly Respond to public health events and the regional and national health security is ensured.
