Honourable Lelatisitswe Visits Kgatleng DHMT

Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness Honourable Sethomo Lelatisitswe paid Kgatleng District Health Management Team a visit to check on the welfare of the district. His visit began with a briefing session with the district leadership at Deborah Retief Memorial Hospital and a tour of the facility.

The Assistant Minister and his entourage later proceeded to Mmathubudukwane, Ramonaka, Malolwane and Sikwane where he met the village leadership and toured the health facilities. Health facilities in these villages share common challenges such as shortage of staff, shortage of transport, shortage of accommodation and unavailability of a back-up generator.

Honourable Lelatisitswe said his visit was compelled by the area Member of Parliament Honourable Mabuse Pule’s numerous parliamentary questions and comments on the state of health facilities in the district and wanted to appreciate the state of the district, conditions and challenges that health workers operate under as well as to encourage them. “I received complaints from your area MP and I came to appreciate the challenges that you are faced with. I must applaud Kgatleng DHM Team for their efforts. From here we will go back and follow-up on the challenges presented and see what can be put in plan. We will take them forward and see what can be done”, he said. Read more...
