A gift for Princess Marina HospitalAs the bible recites “don’t withhold good from those who it is due when it is in your power”, so did the Diocese of Francistown and Gaborone Catholics heed to the word when they handed over a gift worth BWP 37 000+ to Princess Marina Hospital.
The Roman Catholic Church which held their annual Solidarity of Immaculate conception of Mother Mary Conference at St Joseph’s college and donated 6 rolls of 600 meters Sheeting Materials to meet the need of shortage of blankets and sheets in the hospital.
One of the Mothers in the church, Ms. Patricia Matenge hinted that it is their norm and mandate as the Dioceses of Francistown and Gaborone to give gifts as they purpose in their heart, and this year they saw it fit to give to Princess Marina Hospital. “This gift is from hearts filled with love and compassion”, she emphasised.
When receiving and appreciating the gift on behalf of the Minister, permanent secretary, Ms. Ruth Maphorisa said that the church has been exemplary in partnering with government and being a true community builder.
“This gift we have received has encouraged us as the ministry that despite challenges we face, someone in the community can still say lean on me,” she said. Adding that the staff at Princes Marina Hospital will be encouraged to serve the community at their best.Read more...
