They were also informed that they have an option to get their packages from BPOPF or Botswana Life Insurance. In addition, if there are cases of death of a member, the funds are calculated for dependents and that funeral advance can only be given if there is valid supportive information for needs such as school fees and mortgage without insurance which can only be paid direct to the school or bank respectively.

MOHW staff were also informed of the nomination of beneficiary form which assures of who gets paid. The only instances where the form can be altered is when there is a spouse, children or whe the other beneficiary is late.

It was clarified that pension is not a will as it does not fall under the Estate Act but the Retirement Fund Act.
