Assistive Devices – Guidelines for Health workers
These guidelines have been developed to help assist those working with people with disabilities to make accurate and relevant decisions on what type of special aids or appliance to use effectively. These officers may include; Family Welfare Educators, Rehabilitation Officers, Nurses, Social workers, Therapists and Medical Officers. Whatever special aid or appliance you decide to provide to your client, it is important for you to understand the benefits of that item. These guidelines will provide information on each special aid or appliance. It will also give a brief summary of the conditions in which you can use it.
