Huawei Technologies Botswana recently donated 40 non-contact infrared thermometers worth P50, 000.00 to the Ministry of Health and Wellness at an event held at Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB). The donation was handed over by the Managing Director of Huawei Technologies Botswana Mr. Ye Huihui to the Honourable Minister Dr Lemogang Kwape. This donation comes at a very opportune time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Wuhan China.

When receiving the donation the Minister said the Ministry is facing different challenges which some can be mitigated by Information Technology. He therefore extended gratitude towards Huawei Technologies Botswana for the noble gesture adding that some of the donated thermometers will be used at the ports of entries to strengthen screening services for passengers flying in to Botswana.

Hon Kwape emphasized the value of human face when rendering services saying that it is a key aspect when building a healthcare system that is caring and emphatic.
